Wedding Invitations

If you know me, you'll know I love stationery. I will spend hours in OfficeMax just staring at their rows of pens and paper, and trying to decide what I want to buy. On top of that, I've gotten into scrapbooking, which is all about hoarding and using lovely bits of paper. So, you can imagine how excited I am about picking out wedding invitations. I keep vacillating between buying them and making them myself.

Anyway, I discovered the Wedding Divas' invitation site tonight, and they have so many gorgeous designs that I can't decide which one I like best. Look . . .

Merry Branch

I love the simplicity of this design. It's clean and it's fresh, and it looks like spring.

Lovely Trellis

This design also reminds me of spring. I love the abstract leaves and the silhouettes of the birds. The left bird looks a little odd, though.

Toile Border

I suspect that this design might be too heavy and elaborate for the wedding theme, but I am obsessed with toile and damask patterns. It's almost enough to make me have a big, white wedding.

Damask Border

Oh, look, it's damask. I feel like this pattern is lighter and spring-ier, though.

Introduction

Phil and I are currently in the process of planning our wedding, as we've been engaged for over a year now and have been ready to take the next step for a while. We're hoping that it'll take place next Spring, that is, Spring of 2011. My dream is to have an outdoors wedding in the park with a picnic-style reception afterwards. I think it'll be beautiful and romantic and simple.

Now, I'm the archetypal absent-minded professor, and I keep coming across really wonderful ideas online only to forget them a few days later. Because of that, I decided to outsource my memory (at least when it comes to the initial stages of wedding planning) to this blog. It's probably not going to be of great interest to you unless you're family or friends, and are therefore interested in us.
